It is rare to find a golf course that has it all. Luckily, those golfers who have found Chickasaw Golf Course have found a gem. Challenging, exciting, rewarding, peaceful, and tranquil are just a few of the words that can be used to describe this remarkable 18-hole golf course in western Tennessee. As a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, golfers will immediately notice details that only the legendary golfer-turned-designer can deliver. Nicklaus made this par-72 golf course unlike any in the area from the layout to the breathtaking, natural setting.

Chickasaw Golf Course is one of a kind, set in the midst of Chickasaw State Park – without a single home in sight. When golfers are not taking in the well-maintained Bermuda fairways or enjoying the beauty that the dense forest of pines, oaks, tulip poplars, and hickories create, they may notice that four sets of tees are located in each tee box – perfect for players of every level of ability. The back tees are a real challenge and ideal for golfers who want to test their endurance as they play 7,118 yards. But, those interested in a shorter game can curtail their yardage by playing from the front tees – still commanding respect at 5,270 yards. Water can be found throughout the golf course at Chickasaw Golf Course, since Piney Creek come into play on seven of the holes.

Remarkable scenery is one of the trademarks of the Chickasaw Golf Course. The woodland and meandering creek only begin to describe this picturesque area. In addition, golfers will encounter natural wetlands – so, an accurate shot can make all the difference. Golfers can relax and reflect on their memorable experience at Chickasaw from the handcrafted clubhouse, styled after a log cabin, overlooking the 18th hole. It should not surprise anyone who plays this unique course that it was rated one of the top ten “Courses you can Play” by Golf Magazine.

Located in western Tennessee, Chickasaw Golf Course is only ten minutes from the charming town of Henderson and about two hours from the bustle of Memphis. Set in the heart of Chickasaw State Park, everyone can find something to do – both golfers and non-golfers alike. For those who like to take advantage of outdoor activities, the park is the ideal place: boating, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and swimming are all right there. Henderson is famous for its wonderful restaurants and even claims to be home to Tennessee’s best hamburger. Fun shops, friendly people, and great events, such as the Annual Barbeque Festival will make unforgettable memories for everyone.

The PGA Professional that is on staff at the Chickasaw Golf Course is always ready to give a bit of advice or work with golfers on their swing, technique, or short game. Golfers can soak in their surrounding and leave Chickasaw Golf Course feeling relaxed, but always ready for more. It is the perfect combination: a tranquil, peaceful setting mixed with 18 challenging holes of golf.

This golf course is under new management/ownership and is in great shape. Definitely a must play. The prices listed are out dated. $28 Mon- Fri and $32 on Sat- Sun. Definitely worth the money for a round of golf.

Some greens were bad. The ground was very hard. Both these had something to do with the lack of rain in the area. Good overall layout. Every hole was unique and provided plenty of room. Challenging course.
