This Charles Banks design is the best value in New Jersey. The bunker renovation and the removal of trees has improved the course substantially. The greens are slower than I would like but it is a public (semi private) course and you have to concede green speed for cost of play.

Great golf course. Classic design but not annoyingly tight. Green complexes are large and tricky, lots of mounds in the greens and interesting bunkering. Greens had just been sanded so were slow, but I heard they do not run them fast after losing them a few yrs back - greenskeeper scared to repeat that. But greens were in good shape. Rough areas only thing lacking in condition - important stuff was solid. \"Private\" town owned course but easy to get on especially as a single in off-peak times or season. Hidden gem with friendly staff.

Too many outings lead to some bumpy greens and often divots which are not replaced, but this is a little under-rated gem!
