The club and their 9-hole, double-tee course date to August 17, 1909, although prolific architect James Braid submitted a redesign of the course that was undertaken during the 1920s. The famous golf professional Harry Vardon also over saw some later improvements.

Visitors are welcome at £29/round or £37/day on weekdays, then £34/round on weekends. Twilight, winter, and guest-of-member rates are also available, as are memberships. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.
