Chrisleigh - 2/4/12
A great little par three course, nine holes, just across the Sadowski causeway in Marathon, in the florida Keys. There are only three golf courses in the Keys. One is in Key West, which is Public, one in Marathon at Sombreo Beach and this one, at Key Colony Beach. No reservations are taken, consistent players all day. Plenty of beauty with Palm trees in abundance, an occasional iguana wondering the fairways and sand bunkers that never seem to be raked, but it's a fun course and one that will definitely improve your short game. It should really be a par four course due to the small, undulating, greens. If it was a par four, people would have some birdies and an occasional eagle. But to shoot par here is very difficult. Considering the scarce amount of land available and the number of courses available, the Keys are lucky to have this course. About $21 for eighteen holes or $13 for nine (you play the same nine over again if you want to do 18). Rental clubs and pull carts only. Rental fees about $2.00. Water and soft drinks available. A very limited pro shop.
