I "Stayed and Played" at Wharton Park yesterday (14/8/2013)and had a throughly enjoyable time. The course was in superb condition and played consistently well throughout.
We played 12 holes (hole 12 is next to the clubhouse)in the morning and 18 in the afternoon and were very glad we took the buggy option, it is a long and hillyinsh course with long treks between holes.

Play was extremely slow for some reason in the afternoon, though not the case in the morning and this was the only slight drawback of Wharton park.

The food was excellent, especially the tomato and basil soup we had with sandwiches at lunch time. But the breakfast bap was cracking too.

Highly recommended, and am waiting to go back soon.

Nice course but a good 4 1/2 hour round due to distances needed to be walked between tees. Quite hilly so think before you decide to carry.
