This course was previously known as Southfield Golf Club and opened in 1922 with a design by the legendary architect Harry S. Colt, who kept some of the features leftover from a previous course on this site designed by five-time Open champion James Braid.
Visitors and societies are welcome, although advance booking is recommended. The standard visitor walking rates are £35 weekdays, then £25 after 2:00 p.m. on weekends. Juniors, county cardholders, and guests of members receive various discounts.
