Marketing hype aside, the numbers show that this course is fiendishly difficult; from the back tees, the course is rated 77.6 with a 155 slope — the maximum on the USGA's scale. A multitude of bunkers, water hazards, mature oaks and pines punctuate the 520 acres of this property. The club hosted 2015 NCAA Division I golf championships in successive weeks.

Incidentally, the name "Concession" refers to the 1969 Ryder Cup matches, where Jack Nicklaus famously conceded a two-foot putt to Tony Jacklin at the end, resulting in the first-ever draw in Ryder Cup history. Both Nicklaus and Jacklin are credited with the architecture of this course, which has received plenty of praise and "best of" mentions from several golf and travel publications.
