Located in the shadows of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in the geographical centre of Ireland, Roscrea Golf Club was founded in 1892 as a 0-hole course. Following the purchase of 40 acres of land in 1991, County Kerry's Dr. Arthur Spring was commissioned to design a new 18-hole course.
