The Nicklaus course is one of two regulation-length courses, along with the Pete Dye course, at Colleton River Plantation, a private luxury real estate development. Jack Nicklaus designed the course, which opened in 1991. Also here is a par-3 course named in memory of the late architect Bruce Borland, who perished in the Payne Stewart plane crash in 1999.
