Chapel Hill Golf Course & Event Center
12927 Illinois Hwy 26
Princeton, IL 61356, United States

815.879.6531
Originally know as the private Bureau Valley Country Club when opened in 1913, it became a semi-private facility when ownership changed in 2003 and became known as Hunter's Ridge. In the summer of 2013, the course changed ownership once more and rechristened the chapel Hill golf Course and Event Center.

Known for its plantation style clubhouse and scenic views, our championship course offers golfers the very best tree-lined fairways and ridges in the area, offering outstanding play at an incredible price.

Nice course and the personnel were very friendly. We pretty much had the course to ourselves so pace of play was great. Beautiful course with the leaves changing color but some of the greens left a lot to be desired. Could have just been the time of the year. What we didn't care for was that the Skycaddie didn't work. I don't know if they made changes in the course since it was shot by Skycaddie but the hole distances didn't line up correctly ie. #1 is a 300 yd par 4 and the distance read 999.

Quirky old school course opened in 1911 as a private 9 hole course. Recently expanded to 18 holes and now open to the public. Very odd course routing, at times confusing. Holes zig zag across each other. Small greens, usually turtle back designs, tricky puttng. No bev cart service, 9th hole does not end up back at club house so prepare accordingly. Course was in rough shape, mostly in the tee boxes. New course routing places 9th hole closer to the club house. Fairways and Tee boxes were rock hard. Some of the fairways were brown and thin on grass. Some of the greens looked a little rough.
