Best public course in Ocala. Fairways are green and plush. Greens were excellent that day. Nice test of golf and the staff was very friendly. Will play this course as often as I can when I am in the area.

The course layout is beautiful, love the elevation changes. In my top 10 courses in W. Central Florida.
Staff:
The Pro Shop was very nice and stocked unlike many courses right now. The staff was outstanding, friendly, fast and made me feel like they were one of my golfing buddies.
The Course:
The ONLY negative to the course right now is the greens, which they are fully aware of. Recent ownership change and they addressing the problems. Greens are still playable but not as "Top Notch" as the rest of the course. Fairways are about average, once again ownership changes are addressing the issues. The sand traps are in Excellent condition, I was able to play out of several of them, they look refurbished with new fluffy sand.
Conclusion:
This course is about 80-90 min from my door, but definetly worth the trip. I am excited to see how well the course plays once the greens are back to where they should be.

very fast and good greens

This is a great layout, but needs work in the bunkers. This course is going thru a transition in management and should soon be back up to \"par\". Always tough!

A world-class layout. Slight misses result in severe consequences. Elevated greens with substantial, deep bunkering. To play it from the tips you had better be scratch or close to it!!
