This parkland-style design is located on an island about a 15-minute drive northeast of central Stockholm. Lidingö GK was Sweden's first 18-hole course; it opened in 1926 as Stockholm GK. Stockholm GK moved to a different site in 1933, and in any event, this course underwent a major rebuild from 2006 until 2009, overseen by architect Peter Chamberlain.
