This attractive cliff-top course offers players many views of the North Sea. Although Old Tom Morris did the original course design here in 1888, J.H. Taylor, James Braid oversaw some redesign work here after the turn of the last century. In more recent decades, Frank Pennick and Donald Steel have designed some updates to the layout.

Visitors are welcome, but advance booking is highly recommended given members' priority over tee-times. The visitor walking rates during the summer are £55/round or £65/day on weekdays, then £65/round or £75/day on weekends and bank holidays. Junior, Norfolk County cardholders, and guest-of-member rates are available. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.

If you get a chance, play this course for a Parkland Cliffs feel.
The welcome is friendly. A good course in summer or winter. The greens are well maintained with some subtle borrows. They run true and have a consistent pace. Some long holes when the wind blows, but not overly long. Food is very good (from "Henri") and through a franchise operation I think. All in all a good day and course to play. Easy (ish) when sunny, dry and no wind; tough when windy; very tough when windy and wet.

You simply can't fault this course.
The greens were a bit long and slow when we played but they ran true and had a constant pace. The course itself is a gem. You don't need to be long but you certainly need to be accurate. It wasn't too windy but I've played it in the winter and believe me it does get cold and very drafty. We had a great welcome with our name on a board as we walked into the clubhouse along with all the other visitors that day. Food was also superb.
Looking forward to returning.
