Basingstoke Golf Club
Down St
Dummer, F2 RG25 2AD, United Kingdom

+44.125.639.7888
This 1992 Peter Allis design rolls over 165 acres of Hampshire countryside, although the architecture firm Sparkes & Myers have since redesigned holes 16-18.

The raised tees and greens are constructed to the USGA's tri-layer specification, while the course also has a full irrigation system from fairways, tees, and greens. Since the course was built over chalk downland, drainage allows year-round play, weather permitting. The ten-bay covered practice range is augmented by an indoor video teaching area, short game, bunker, and practice putting areas.

Visitors and societies are welcome with advance arrangement; the standard visitor walking rates are £25 Mondays through Thursdays, and £30 Fridays through Sundays and on holidays.

Great course in excellent condition despite recent weather. Highly recommend especially in winter. Really friendly staff. You must go and play. Only £15 on Tee Off times.

With the preparation required to ensure the course met with the requirements for a Jamego Pro Event early in the 2014 season,Dummer has been seen at its best for many a year. The grass growing conditions have helped. Result is a course which looks well and plays well, just need to match it with my swing!Dummer with its chalk base and therefore great drainage, allows 365 days of golf which is 5 star.

Over running course alterations are annoying but now only really impact the 18th. Free draining chalk course with great views and a great mix of easy and hard holes.
