Retro-traditionalist architect Gil Hanse designed this highly-acclaimed course with many characteristics of the styles of architects Donald Ross, Alister Mackenzie, and Chalres Blair Macdonald. In particular, Hanse endeavored to have as little earth moved as possible while constructing greens, bunkers, and tees. Both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine has already put Boston Golf Club in their list of top 100 courses in the United States.
