This relatively flat, parkland-style course was designed by James Braid and whilst most of the holes use more or less the same layout, additional ground was acquired in the 1930's on which the current 6th to 9th holes are built. This stretched the course by some 600 yards to its current length of 6,168 yards from the white tees.

Most holes are tree lined with oak, birch and pine. The Garnkirk Burn also winds its way through the middle part of the course, making the 6th and 7th holes testing depending on which way the wind is blowing. On a sunny day, the course affords views of the Campsie Hills, with Ben Lomond in the background.

Visitors and societies are welcome with advance booking. Memberships are also available.

my home course so I'm biased but 2013 has seen great improvement. Best value for fees anywhere. Give it a try

My home course, bunkers are the only issue as some have no sand and you only find that out when you try to get out of one with no sand and the ball is still in the bunker! apart from that course is in great condition just now.

nice course greens were superb

Greens make the easier holes challenging, and harder holes harder
