Golfklúbbur Kópavogs og Garðabæjar ("GKG") is located in Garðabæ ("Gardabær") and opened with nine holes in 1996; the second nine debuted in 2002, while the Kópavogs 9 opened in 2007. The terrain has a tumbling links flavor and will host Iceland's national championship in 2014.
