Elm Park was founded in 1924 and features 14 tennis courts, a practice range, an 18-hole putting green, a clubhouse, and a golf course that opened in 1924 with nine holes. A second nine opened on leased land in 1941, but that lease expired in 1956. Then in 1960, the club purchased the adjacent Bloomfield property, enabling a "second" (and permanent!) second nine to open. In 2002, architect Patrick Merrigan oversaw the rebuilding of the greens, along with different bunker placements around the course. Elm Park is located about three miles southeast of Dublin's CBD.

The club allows public play, but rates vary between €45 and €60; advance booking is highly recommended.
