This private club was originally built for DuPont Company employees; the first nine-hole course was constructed in 1922. Today, three 18-hole golf courses are part of the club and spread across the Brandywine Valley.

The DuPont Championship Course was renovated in 2005, while the tighter and more narrow Nemours Course features challenging greens. The par-61 Montchanin Course is an executive-length layout. Several practice areas are available to warm up before playing or to improve personal skills. A chipping green, a driving range, a practice bunker and putting greens are available.

While this is a private country club, they do host charity and fundraising golf outings.
