This course is a blend of heathland and parkland styles and is so prestigious that it is used for Open Championship qualifying when the Open is played at Saint Andrews. It was established in 1879 with six holes designed by Old Tom Morris, then extended to nine in 1910. The second nine debuted in 1961.
Visitors are welcome, but should book in advance because of preferred tee-times for members. The peak-season (May-September) walking rates are £60/round or £89/day on weekdays, then £70/round on weekends. Carts are £25/round or £40/day. Junior and shoulder-season rates are also offered.

A nice inland layout. A nice lebgth of course but played it on a windy day which added to difficulty. Greens were excellent but hard to hold on approach shots. A nice alternative to the usual Links courses in the Fife area.

Middle of March in Scotland you would not expect a course to be in such great condition, was blown away by the course and the greens for the time of year, cant wait to come back and play the open competition later in the year
