The Hunter Golf Club offers an excellent test of golf, with great views of surrounding trap rock ridges and Castle Craig in Meriden's Hubbard Park, which can be seen while playing the fifth hole. It was recently named the number seven public golf course in the state by Pub Links magazine, and has been named a top ten course by the Connecticut Magazine. The course played host to the 2001 CT Women's State Amateur, as well as the Senior New England Public Links Championship, and our yearly City Championship for our residents.

A challenging New England course. There is a wide variety of types of holes. Narrow fairways on some and wide open on others. The greens are fairly fast and are challenging. The changes in elevation are some times subtle however always are an ingredient in determining the shot.

Great course, good greens, forgiving if you pay attention, if not scores will soar. Great Pro, Bob Tiederman excellent addition to the course and management of the facility. How Tom Deveaux keeps this coures in the condition it truely a miricle, excellent job.

First time I've played this course. An online site offered two greens fees for 30 bucks plus tax and cart. The starter was kind and helpful. The driving range is grass but incredibly small and slightly slanted so you're hitting off a downhill lie. The pace of play lives up to its notorious nature. Greens are smooth but rather flat. Fairways generous. Tight par 3s. Very well maintained even playing after several days of rain. I thought it was kind of cool that the starter posted a sign indicating lift, clean and replace. Not some cheapo sharpie on loose leaf job either. A nice quaint wooden sign. Very nice touch. #10 plays as a 600 yard par 5 but has a permanent tee box to have it play as a par 4 when fairways are wet.
