Nothing special! Overpriced, over rated, still hanging onto its history! There are a lot better value for money courses. Weren't made to feel anything special, just another mug parting with loads of cash!

Played the Brabazon which has some very nice holes mixed with some very average ones.

Once you get over the history you find yourself playing a nice course, Nothing special just nice.
At £160 a round for the Brabazon £45 for a buggy £20 for 2 soft drinks and a pizza and Bed and Breakfast another £160 there is countless courses that are better value. If you want History try Stoke Poges not quite as expensive and home to James Bond's epic golfing duel in the 1964 classic 007 movie 'Goldfinger'

You can play all 3 courses at Celtic Manor for the price of the Brabazan and when you finish they give you an engraved bag tag, clean your clubs and shoes and even present you with your photo on the first Tee

I have walked in the step of some of the greatest golfers in the world you tee of on the famous first hole your knees are shaking as you set up you feel the eyes of all around you and to get a good drive is all you want (pow straight down the middle) you take a deep breath and all that saw you tee of just give a little clap you get to the famous tenth hole do you go for it or do a tiger woods and lay up mmm my playing partner went for it and payed the price, i went the tiger way seven iron and a chip over .but even i came unstuck as my pitch spun back in to the water... just loved the experiance bring on the PGA thats next at the belfry

Overall a grear course, no value playing in the summer but the winter deal is great value
  Graeme Hacking - 4/15/13
Some very nice holes mixed with some very average ones. Condition was good considering all the bad weather. Would not play again there are far better options for the same money.

Schöner Brabazon Course, im super Pflegezustand. War nicht umsonst mehrfach Austragungsort des Ryder Cups.
