This attractive course runs atop a ridge above Departure Bay, so evergreens, willows, and maple trees frame the fairways and the views of the Strait of Georgia and the Gulf Islands. The course plays to about 6,700 yards from the tips, but four sets of tees on each hole accommodate middle and higher handicap players.

One of the members of the staff here has four legs, fur, and a tail; "Megan" is a border collie who chases geese away from the fairways and greens here.
