This is a classic old style course. Mature pine trees line most fairways requiring control off the tees. Rolling to hilly fairways give challenging second shots because your feet are rarely level and on the same elevation as the ball. The fairway shots are often blind to semi blind shots because you are hitting over a rise or hill. The large trees along the sides of the fairways however will always tell you where to lineup for the next shot.
The greens are receptive but could be faster.
The fall colours make this a very pretty course to play. On several holes cell phones came out to take pictures.
