I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Sherwood Forest. Compliments to the hard working green staff!! Staff were very welcoming and friendly, the cost of £45.00 for the individual open medal was well worth it as the hospitality included was excellent. 2 course meal, complimentary coffee on arrival and snacks at the halfway house all included in the price. The prize table was very adequate too although not in them myself were worth winning.

The course was in very good condition with the greens similar pace to my own club (Renishaw Park). The heather was penalising if the ball missed the fairway, I would say it was easy to find the ball and continue playing. A few provisional balls were taken until this fact had sunk in!!! Overall a great day out, will return next year for the same comp. Tough course to play and CSS was 75 ouch!!! I shot nett 78 and stayed in buffer zone so happy ish to finish with the same ball I started with :-)

a course I had always wanted to play you always think it will not reach your expectations but what a day we had greens were the best I have played in the uk I live within 45 mins drive and this is far the best course in the area and within 10mins drive are holinwell and coxmoor both will need to up there game to beat here.

Exceptional course always in top condition. Only second in Nottinghamshie to Holinwell.
