Long slog even with a buggy (90 degree rule is a pain). Wouldn't want to play here on a regular basis

booked a weekend here 20/03/20. was told everything would be open, Including all resort facilities(just before lockdown Covid 19 ). travelling from Glasgow. however played the Roman course- very muddy and even lost balls on fairways course should have been closed. Montgomerie course was in same state. 2010 course was bad but playable just. All facilities then closed saturday so we had to check out a day early what a Birthday treat..........

Greens in poor condition following recent maintenance. Considering the wet weather in previous days, the course was in good condition. A true test of golf, especially with the wind! Would like to return to play the 2010 course in the summer and see the course in all its glory.

Staff were very friendly, food was excellent. I enjoyed the layout of the course, personally found the greens far too slow...as was the pace of play, nearly 5 and a half hours for a four ball...

Superb place to play golf, you need a buggie on the Montgomery course as it is very very hilly...
  Bob Maxwell - 3/16/14
Played the Montgomerie course, greens tined and a lot of mud around the greens. The need to use a buggy makes it hard work when you don't know the course ( even with sky caddie) Scenery is good and layout also excellent but it needs more work to be rated as highly as it's reputation

played both Montgomery and 2010, and found both to a similar standard. Treated like a superstar on the 2010. To use the lockers that were used by the Ryder Cup team was special. Water on the 2010 makes it tough... take lots of balls!
Great courses, super hotel.

stunning! a must.

This is best played of the back Tees. The yellow visitor tees are a waste of time as the course becomes way too short!

Great track, similar to East Sussex National for quality of course. Greens were fantastic. Cost of the round needs to be balanced better. Would play there again though. Par 5 2nd is a brute
