This 9-hole course is located on Shark Boulevard, on the north side of Naval Submarine Base New London, the largest such installation in the U.S. Navy. The slang express "slick as goose poop" may have originated here and may have inspired the course name, given the frequent winged visitors who leave evidence of their presence.
