Considered one of the oldest 9-hole courses in Colorado, Tamarack Golf Club is a Henry B. Hughes design that opened in 1967. The course is located on terrain that is probably best described as a blend of parkland and prairie styles. Tamarack offers three sets of tees, with two tee-box combinations for an 18-hole round. In 2008, Tamarack was selected as one of the best 9-hole courses in the state by Colorado Avid Golfer magazine.

Tamarack lies just south of the city on State Highway 71, a short distance east of the Lincoln-Elbert county line.

The standard walking rates are $20 on weekdays, $25 on weekends (carts are $20). Early-bird, junior, 9-hole, and winter rates are offered, as are memberships.
