Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry designed this course, which opened in 2007 at this private country club, part of a gated, luxury residential development. While this is mostly flat terrain, Hurdzan and Fry designed most fairways to have rolls and swales, while the bunkering echoes Pinehurst in style -- not terribly deep, but with steep faces. The fairways, tees, rough, and greens are seeded with SeaDwarf Paspalum, a type of dwarf that tolerates a variety of irrigation, including saltier water.

Visitors are permitted only as the guest of a member, although a number of other private clubs have reciprocal arrangements here.
