Wooden Sticks Golf Club
40 Elgin Park Dr
Uxbridge, ON L9P 0C2, Canada

905.852.4379
Wooden Sticks is something of a "tribute course," offering replicas of eight holes made famous at courses like Augusta National, St. Andrews, Pine Valley, Carnoustie, TPC Sawgrass, and Oakmont. The course was designed by the American architect Ron Garl.

Incidentally, the course name comes not as a reference to older golf clubs, but to wooden hockey sticks. Three of the original investors played in the National Hockey League: Gary Roberts, Steven Rice, and Hall of Famer Joe Nieuwendyk.

Fun course - lots of variety, elevation changes, and the holes "inspired by" famous holes are a cool idea. We had a lot of rain in the past week, and the course condition was very good - no casual water and greens held well and putted quick. Their regular greens fees are high, but they offer some special packages that are worth trying once in a while. Enjoyed the round & will be back (next year, maybe).

First time playing this course that I've heard so many good things about...and it lived up to the hype. Not a cheap but we were able to take advantage of their October special and considering the extras included in the green fees and quality of the course it was well worth it.
