This Tom Fazio design has eight holes directly on Lake Keowee. The architect is quoted as saying that 17 "...may be the most picturesque in the state of South Carolina." Golf Digest named Keowee Vineyards the 7th best new private course in the U.S. in 2000.

The course is owned and operated by the Cliffs Communities, a series of planned residential areas.
