This course is located in Muskoka Lakes Township. Some time back, the Rock earned "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" status. The shoulder-season rates here are $89 weekdays and $109 weekends.

FROM THEIR WEB SITE:
The Rock Golf Club, designed by legendary golfer Nick Faldo, has been artfully sculpted on the shores of one of Muskoka’s premier lakes, Lake Rosseau. Utilizing the site’s dynamic topography, the 6545-yard course is carved tight with narrow tree-lined fairways and sloping greens that wind through rock outcroppings, hardwood trees and rolling hills.

I found the Rock to be a very scenic course with many changes in elevations that creating huge yardage deceptions. A GPS is a must for this course and keep the big gun in the bag for this one.
Many of the shots are blind and experience or a resident member will certainly help you score better.

Had our day ruined by the Marshal who insisted that we ( a foursome ) of medium handicap keep up with a twosome of scratch golfers!!! He kept insisting we keep up to them. Very disappointed in our day there. The course was very nice but difficult. The young man in the pro shop was very nice and deserves a thank you for his hospitality.

Do NOT look at the total yardages and pick your tee's thinking it plays normally. We did and selected the gold ones playing 6100yds. The greens are 5500yds. We should have played the greens. Its tight, lots of blind shots and trouble everywhere. Plays way longer than the card suggests. Treated well, pretty, etc but way over my head for a fun day. Gotta be a player to enjoy it.

Bring Lots of balls. It's still not for the average golfer.
