It's a mostly links style course with water in play on about 5 or six holes. Wide fairways with a fair number of bunkers. Most holes have some elevation change with some blind, uphill drives .

From the blacks, probably the sternest test of golf in the Capital District.

Architecturally, probably the best golf course I have ever played. Just a great layout and very scenic. Unfortunately the club doesn't have enough money to keep the course maintained like it should be. The greens and fairways are immaculate but the bunkers and areas next to the bunkers are being neglected. If you have a chance to play this course do so!
