Redlands Mesa was designed by award-winning golf course architect Jim Engh, who routed this course through mostly desert landscape, with 41 bunkers and five water hazards along the way. Wherever possible, Engh left native plants untouched, along with rock outcroppings. The nearby Bookcliffs, Grand Mesa, and Colorado National Monument are visible from most of the course.

The "tourist" walking rate is $89, while Mesa County residents pay $61 (carts are $16/person). Twilight, junior, 9-hole, and shoulder-season rates are lower, while memberships are also offered.
