This resort offers two 18-hole courses: The Classic opened in 1957 with a design by noted architect Bill Diddel and was the first high-end course in the Gaylord area. Three sets of tees play from 5,623 to 6,347 yards. Rates vary through the season and range from $30 to $49.

Meanwhile, the Tribute was designed by Rick Robbins and PGA tour pro Gary Koch, and has been ranked the eight-best public-access course in the state. This layout plays through heavily-wooded terrain just east of the Sturgeon River - four tees stretch the course from 5,085 to 7,347 yards. Rates vary throughout the season and range from $48 to $89.

A variety of multiple-play and stay-and-play packages are listed on the resort's web site. Memberships are also offered.

The Tribute is one of my favorites in Michigan...nicest starters, rangers & cart girls. Course was in really nice shape.

Great views, amazing lodging, and well worth the cost. The Tribute is among the nicest courses i've played. Can't wait to play again.
