Deacon's Lodge is #72 in Golf Digest's "Top 100" public access courses and Golf For Women magazine also included Deacon's Lodge on its list of top 100 women-friendly courses. This layout flows through 500 acres of lakes, wetlands, and mixed forest. The full-service clubhouse was built with handcrafted, individually-logged cedar timbers.
This course is now operated by nearby Breezy Point Resort and is named after Arnold Palmer's father, Deacon. The course was designed by Erik Larson of the Arnold Palmer Design Company.
Greens fees are steepest between May 15 and September 20, but twilight and shoulder-season rates drop below $100.

Very challenging course. Good landing areas for drives but second shots are usually quite challenging. Expensive but worth playing on occasion when you want a challenge.

If you are in the area, play this course. Many options for all levels of play & the shape & scenery is very nice!
