Pecan Lakes was designed by Jay Riviere, the noted Houston golf course architect. Most of the holes on the first nine play through a tall grove of native Pecan, Elm, and Water Oak trees. Water is also in play on the second nine, which is more open.

The standard visitor rates (with cart) are $28 on weekdays, $41 on weekends and holidays. Senior, student, and twilight rates are offered, as are memberships.
