Here is a rarity - a Donald Ross design that is available to the public. The legendary architect designed this course, which opened in 1927 and has been owned and operated by the Marrone family since 1939. Incidentally, the word "Wachusett" is an Algonquin word that essentially means "near the mountain."
The public is welcome at this course; the standard walking rate is $40. Carts are mandatory on weekends before 11:00 a.m., making that rate $49.
