We play it every year. Best course in OBX.

Beautiful, albeit tough course. Whatever hospitality problems they had previously were gone, as the employees were perfectly pleasant to us. Pace of play was slow, but the course was somewhat crowded. We also got behind a foursome of jagoffs in our second round on this day, who were wasted drunk and just goofing off. They were really loud and obnoxious, but only bothered us a little I guess. The course itself is very punitive if you don't get the right distance and direction. The winds don't help you much either. Make sure you have the right club in your hand, and that club is usually going to be one higher than you think you'll need.

Played the course many times over the years and find it challenging and very enjoyable. I will continue to play it when I am in the area.

A little pricey. Course was $99 for the green fee + a tag on fee of $5 for ~30 range balls. At $100, range balls should be a throw in.

Course is in great shape, but they were aerating yesterday just as I was finishing up.

I played right before Christmas, it was under 40* and windy...the course was in great shape, the greens rolled great... Guy in the pro-shop is not only extremely knowledgeable, but a super nice person.

Played 8/18/10--The course was in HORRENDOUS condition!!!!! Only 4-5 truly puttable greens. The other 13-14 had large bare spots, tons of pitch marks, repaired (Large Plugs) areas, you name it. Greenside bunkers played more like firm packed waste areas. The layout is very nice, playable for all golfers from the appropriate tees. Length is not a premium as position is most important. Given the attractiveness of the design and layout this course could be great. Given the current condition of the greens.......... STAY AWAY.
