Here's a rarity: A Donald Ross-designed course that is open to the public. Wellshire is a parkland-style course that opened in 1926 and is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver. Locals usually refer to holes 12 through 14 as "Amen Corner."
The standard walking rates are $26 weekdays and $35 on weekends and holidays. Senior and junior rates are offered, as are season passes.

This is a very friendly, well laid out course with some tough holes. for instance a 210 yd par 3, and a 457 yd par 4. the rough is penal, and the trees are in the rough line. son it's a double whammy. the greens are very fast, but true to it's line. I would play it again in a heartbeat. Don't expect an ego stroker here. enjoy.

Pretty, old course that used to be private. Taken over by Denver and is a compact nicely landscaped course but not overly challenging. I had a bad day on the greens, but that was my stroke not indicative of the difficulty. 6300+ yards from the Tips which at times gives you a narrow window from the Tee box. I enjoyed the course.
