John Fought, working with Tom Lehman, designed this course with a classical flavor, intended to echo some of the classic links-style courses overseas, including details like the use of brass disks as tee-markers.

Windsong Farm's philosophy and history includes hosting important events:

• 2008 MGA State Amateur Championship
• 2010 Big Ten men's golf championship (hosted by the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities)
• 2011 USGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship sectional qualifying

This is a private club with very limited membership.
