The Links of Sandpiper
6001 Sandpipers Dr
Lakeland, FL 33809-5667, United States

863.859.5461
Florida-based architect Steve Smyers designed this rolling, heavily-mounded parkland-style course, which opened in 1987 about halfway between Tampa and Orlando. Almost 100 bunkers are in play here, particularly at #15, which features a bunker in the middle of the green. The course is lined with many pine, palm, and deciduous trees, and features water on the closing seven holes.

Rates for a power cart are not published on the course web site. Green fees vary by season; the current rates are posted on the club's web site.

This is your classic, dog track, goat ranch, cow pasture. This course gives golf course a bad name. Greens are terrible, fairways if you can find them, the fairway are nothing but weeds, I would recommend trying another golf course. Extremely disappointing

the course is a dump; you get what you pay for! It was $32 w cart mid-morning on a Monday "in season" (March). Fairways are bare and look like they haven't been watered and mowed in months. Crabgrass was everywhere. Rough was brown and in some places was just dirt. Greens were dry and hard. Sand was inconsistent in depth and texture. If you are in Lakeland go over to the Cleveland Heights courses.

great modified links course. Great variety of holes, challenging greens. both narrow and wide fairways. don't find many courses with hills and slopes like this in FL. Fun to play and way undervalued. For the price, you'll be amazed. Not long, but definately challenging for the mid to high handicapper. Not for beginners
