Two courses are at this resort; George Fazio designed the first course here, which dates to 1971 and hosted the LPGA Hawaiian Open from 1987 until 1989. The other eighteen here was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, and hosts the Turtle Bay Championship, part of the Champions Tour. (Under previous ownership, it was known as the Links at Kuilima.) It is usually included in various published "top 100 public courses" lists. Both courses run over 880 acres of varying terrain, including some oceanside holes.

The Palmer course is a daily-fee layout with preferred rates for resort/hotel guests.

This course can be had if you're low to mid handicap player. Wide open fairways and greens are fast but gives you a true roll. Will be back!

The best way to play these courses, for the money, it to play Fazio in the morning, then pay the $35 replay rate for the Palmer course. If you're only playing one round, there are better courses on the island for the money.

I agree with pebartell, only the 17th hole was scenic. Not a difficult track, played better courses in Hawaii. Was the first group out, played with another single only and it was a 4 hour round - would've preferred to play alone and shaved at least 90 minutes off the round.

Expected more from a "famous" resort course. Slow round.
For a Hawaiian course my wife commented that there was only one hole scenic enough to take a picture. Very few memorable holes.
Thought it was a low value for the cost.

the fairways were reasonable the greens were just aerated so that was a bummer and slow the scenery was not that impressive the cost was okay would not play again liked koolau better only a couple of holes that are by the ocean the course was well manicured
