This traditional design course established in 1952 and designed by John Dawson & Larry Hughes was remodeled in 1987 by Ted Robinson. It features rolling-to-flat terrain with Tif-dwarf greens of average size. Well bunkered, some water. Great views of the nearby mountains.

One of the oldest courses in the desert, and the first private course outside of Palm Springs. Thunderbird was the original site of what eventually became the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. A new clubhouse was added in 2003.
