This was my fifth round on the WN Jamestown course. Most of the Mx issues have been fixed, but greens were still recovering from aeration, so not the best surfaces to putt on. Still I would recommend this and the Yorktown course as well.

Best way I can explain is, imagine a Ferrari with scratches, paint chips and leather ripped seats. Has the making to be an fine course BUT Its a shame they dont maintain the course well, sands were at times concrete like surfaces. Rough was beyond rough, some holes looked great and then others looked like they forget about it. What gives? Staff is great, people are very nice, but def not spending money on maintenance. Oh did I mention WEEDS, WEEDS EVERYWHERE. lol

Jamestown: Pretty nice course but greens on the back were really rough with crabgrass and in poor repair. Play was a little slow but not bad. Some nice holes and tricky layouts.

The Williamsburg National Yorktown course has all the makings of being a great course, tee boxes and fairways were in great shape but the greens were a different story, there were so many ball marks that were not repaired properly, to the point that the repaired marks were dying. The main issue for a low score was the slow play, three groups backed up on a par three and we needed to wait on every shot with a group behind waiting also just backing up play this was with a 9 AM tee time and not at the twilight rate. The course was maintained to allow for easy play, rough not penalizing, and with ready golf, slow play should not be an issue at this course, poor management is the only cause with no marshals on the course. Will not play again.

Nice looking course, good design. Some of the greens were a little rough. We also had cart path only which in my opinion was not needed and added over an hour to our play time. I gave the value 4 stars because we received a special rate for our group, I don't think I would pay $75-$99 to play this course.

Great course but they need to have marshals out on the course. At one point we had 4 groups on one tee waiting to tee off.
