Just three miles from the Pacific Ocean, nestled in the rolling hills of historical San Clemente, is Talega Golf Club. Co-designed by Masters champion Fred Couples and the renowned golf course design firm of Schmidt-Curley Design, Inc., Talega Golf will challenge golfers of all abilities.

The 18-hole championship course evenly meanders through natural canyons, rugged marshes, and undulating terrain. Throughout the par-72 course, golfers will play around the white marble sand bunkers and natural vegetation lining the fairways and hillsides providing golfers with a scenic backdrop. The coastal breezes, along with the relaxed, small-town atmosphere and early mission influence of San Clemente, offer a golfing experience unlike any other in Southern California. This is the way golf was meant to be played!

Voted "Best Daily Fee Golf Course" by readers and a panel of industry experts at OC Golf, LA Golf and SD Golf Magazines.

Like chaka said, everything looks great, except for the fairways, which could be a little more lush. Fair track, lots of uneven lies and bunkers. Rough is juicy, but not overly penal. Nice clubhouse and staff.

Greens were slow and it was difficult to get a true roll. Staff was good and enjoyed the round over all.

There was a blind tee shot on the back 9 where a pole was provided for aiming purposes. What was unusual was that the pole was on the left rough as opposed to the center of the fairway.

Clearly Freddie Couples likes sand traps.

Greens weren't in the best conditions compared to usual!
