Civilians are now welcome here on weekdays with a two-day advance reservation, and on a space-available basis during weekends and holidays. The course is open all year to active duty and retired military, DoD civilian employees, their family members, FBI Academy, National Guard and Reserve personnel.
This course opened with six holes in 1930 and 'design' credit is generally directed toward Marine Corps construction specialists. Longtime course superintendent Ernest Stanley is most responsible for the expansion to eighteen holes during the World War II years.
The MOHGC web site says, "The course is dedicated to the memory of Marines who have been awarded the nation's highest honor. In 1980, the 'Quantico Golf Course' was renamed the 'Medal of Honor Golf Course.'" Automated tee-time reservations are available at 703.784.2424.

Not one of the better courses I have played. For its name and what that represents, you would think that this course would be in better shape, but it is not. Hard to tell where the fairway stops and the rough begins, what with all the crabgrass and clover all over the place. Greens were fuzzy and extremely slow...in their defense, it did rain pretty good the night before, but that brings me to another point...course does not drain well. On a good note, did finish the round in 4:15.
