While there is still snow on the mountain, golfers are testing their skills on our 36 holes of golf. Open year round with two full-service, fully stocked pro shops, the Mountain Greens course is an 18-hole Championship course located near the top of the mountain. The Woodstone Meadows course is an 18-hole Executive course located at the bottom of the mountain.
Our PGA-trained, friendly staff offers private lessons and daily clinics at our new and improved, lighted Driving Range. Club and cart rentals are available at both pro shops. Golf club fitting and repair is also available, as well as gift certificates to treat that special golfer in your life to a great gift.

Massanutten Resort consists of over 6,000 acres of mountain real estate and offers something for the entire family at every turn. Dad’s got his choice of two golf courses that are really going to test his game, mom’s got the Spa and the kids have the waterpark and a whole host of other activities. Throw in outstanding condo and hotel accommodations You can see why many returning guests consider Massanutten Resort a one-stop shop for a great family vacation!
Massanutten Resort offers guests a variety of vacation and accommodations. Whether you’re looking for a quick two-night getaway or a weeklong vacation, there’s something here for you. If you’re interested in staying in the mountain resort area, Massanutten offers everything from newly renovated King or Queen hotel room-style accommodations to a townhouse that sleeps up to 12.
For guests who prefer the low country, Valley View overlooks the resort area of Woodstone Meadows and you can choose from 1 – 4 bedroom condos. Need something bigger? Consider one of Massanutten’s rental homes in a private, gated community, complete with an outdoor pool, picnic area, and workout facility. Many of these homes offer expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains while overlooking the resort area of Woodstone Meadows.
The Woodstone Meadows section of the resort offers guests a number of beautiful condos; Many can sleep up to 12 people comfortable. These condos are located very close a number of resort amenities including Woodstone Meadows golf course and the recreation center.
During the cold winter months, Massanutten thrives as a ski destination. When the sun comes out and things begin to heat up, Massanutten is transformed into a premier golf resort and family vacation destination.
There are several great dining opportunities at the resort too, each with its own flavor and flair. The Virginia BBQ and Pizza Co. offers mouthwatering wood-smoked chicken, pork, and ribs accompanied by delicious, traditional southern sides. They also serve breakfast every morning from 8 am to 11 am. You can dine in, carry out or have it delivered.
My favorite was the Campfire Grill, a casual venue that pays homage to the outdoors and the spirit of adventure. It’s located upstairs from the Mountain Greens pro shop. Campfire Grill is open for all three meals and the scenic mountain setting makes it a favorite of resort guests. Menu items such as Beer Can Burgers – meat patties filled with your favorite toppings – and Chicken and Dumplings make this a fun and enjoyable place to get a bite to eat.
Golfers have several options. If you can’t take the time away to get in a round of golf, Massanutten has a driving range located at Woodstone Meadows. The range is open daily and features 25 hitting bays as well as a grass tee area. There’s also a separate short game area, practice putting green, chipping area and a practice bunker. There’s no excuse not to show improvement the next time you step up to the first tee.
If you need help with your game, talk with one of the PGA professionals in the pro shop who can work through your woes. The pro shop is stocked with all kinds of golf essentials and logoed apparel so your friends back home can know where you picked up that new swing.
Massanutten Resort is home to two high caliber golf courses. The Woodstone Meadows Golf Course plays 5,065 yards long from the back tees with a par of 65. Don’t let the yardage/par fool you; this is no pushover executive style golf course. In fact, when it comes to executive golf courses, the Woodstone Meadows Golf Course at Massanutten Resort in is in class all its own. After all, how many executive courses” incorporate a 533 yard par 5 into the layout? Director of Golf Brett Mowbray has seen players show up ready to play, carrying only three clubs. After explaining the course to them, inevitably they return to their vehicle and return with a full set! Woodstone Meadows is made up of nine par 3s, seven par 4s, and two par 5s. It’s much flatter than its sister course Mountain Greens and offers generous fairways and sloping greens offering an opportunity for golfers of all abilities. Novice golfers will benefit from the open architecture of the course while experienced players will enjoy the skillful challenge. If you want to experience something different, take a GolfBoard instead of a golf cart. Golfboards allow you to surf your way down the fairway all the while enjoying the panoramic views of Massanutten Mountain and the surrounding valley. Golfboards are powered by an environmentally friendly lithium-ion battery and are easy-to-ride. They’ll add a whole new level of fun and excitement to the round.
Massanutten also offers a true championship layout: Mountain Greens Golf Course. The course sits 2,500 feet above Woodstone Meadows. From the back tees, Mountain Greens can play as long as 7,898 yards from the back tees. The course is known for its terraced tees and steeply baked fairways. With a number of tree-lined fairways and plenty of uphill and downhill contours, Mountain Green’s tumbling topography will give all challengers a true test of their golfing abilities. On either course, you’ll find beautiful scenery everywhere you look.

Nice facility. Pace of play was slow on Saturday morning because there was no marshal on the course. The group I followed finally let me pass on the 7th hole.

This is a mountainside course (Mountain Greens). It is tight with lots of opportunity to loose your ball. Hole number one is nearly impossible to keep the ball in the fairway. Unless you can hit a controlled high draw you ball will most likely roll right of the fairway. If your lucky you can find it. The pace of play can be very fast during the week but on a Sat. too many high handicap of inexperienced golfers play the pace creeps. That being said it is a fun and challenging course. You must plan and think your way around the course.
