The Hamptons GC is a 27-hole facility designed by noted architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan, and owned and operated by the City of Hampton. It is open to everyone and is located about 15 minutes from the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. For this course, Hurdzan designed each nine to have its own unique qualities.

The "Woods" runs through tree-lined fairways punctuated by well-bunkered greens. The "Lakes" might be the most scenic and challenging of the three nines; water is in-play five holes. The "Links" nine has Scottish-flavored mounding, pot bunkers, and wind-swept ornamental grasses, dotted by colorful flowers. A large practice putting green and a secluded practice range are also here.

Thanks to a temperate climate, The Hamptons is open virtually all year, weather permitting.
