New management has invested heavily. Blue Heron has totally new greens, an experience you won't find on any other course in Virginia.Marsh Hawk is scheduled for major renovations in addition to the new tee boxes. all three courses have lush fairways and vastly improved greens. The bankruptcy is old news and is now three years in the past. Ford's Colony is the only full 54 hole Country Club open to the public.

The rough was very penalizing, which add to the score and lack of enjoyment and the greens seemed slow but in great shape.

The Blue Heron is in very bad shape. Over half the greens was in terrible condition and the fairways were so so. I really thought i was going to enjoy my round. So much for that. Bankrupt????

Major disappointment this year. These 3 courses used to be our favorites in Williamsburg, but going through bankruptcy is taking its toll on the club. I can no longer recommend these courses. Conditions were poor in fairways & greens.
